I have a system that is a mics with a cp 100 running 3.?. it has worked fine until last week. when calling a phone from another via intercom when it forwards to vm, it will say unavailable on the screen then wants you to put in ext number. also did lines that ring into the phone do not go to vm, instead play aa grtg 2 wich is not even setup to pickup the did lines. all forwarding is set right in the phones. i can access voice mail using feature codes. feature 985 shows the correct vm ext. the only thing that still works right is the vm transfer (f986). i have even rebuilt a few boxes to no avail.

any ideas what is going on here?

Verify that the Ext. at F985 is actually the Ext. in the forward programming of the set. We have one that after a power outage that it loses the proper Ext. in the CP and we have to baby the system to set things right. The 1st port doesn't connect to CP until we swap DN's back and forth until it sees it.

thanks for the reply, both the forwarding and feature 985 are 251

I am assuming that you have tried a reboot. Also how many ports are connected to the CP and have you called each Ext. individually ?

Some thoughts...
Check Disable DN's was not disabled under AA/TABLE/1/Disable DN and change.
Check that CCR 1 is enabled instead of CCR 2 under Table 1

two ports are connected, I only called the lead one 251 and it works properly. I will check dn disabled tommorow.
I also performed a couple reboots
Thanks

Has this phone recently been moved via set relocation? Voice mail uses both the DN of the set and physical port info to correctly forward to the right VMB. Sometimes during a move the MICS DN/port matrix is not correctly updated. A reboot of the MICS will correct such errors.

no moves, i dont have set relocation enabled. i have yet to check the disabled dn's. its an 1.5 hr drive back up there. the weird thing about this is nothing has changed programming wise and this system has been in there 5 years or more.
