Hi All,

I have a MICS V5.0 installed with a 2 port fiber expansion card with the bottom (TM3) port plugged into a M0x16 station expansion and the top (TM4) plugged into a M12x0 trunk expansion. Tomorrow I am adding a NAM II (fiber) so I need to change the 2 port fiber to a 6 port fiber. When I do this, I fear that my trunk lines will somehow have to be or get renumbered. Should I move the trunk into TM8? Will that keep the numbering scheme the same as it is today? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Of course, the object here is not to loose all of my programming at any cost as I do not have the system backed up.

Thanks,
Harold

• Connect Trunk Modules to the Expansion Cartridge
beginning at the top and working down.
• Connect Station Modules to the Expansion Cartridge
beginning at the bottom and working up.

put your NAM in the middle

This should keep the default line/ station numbering plan.
