Microsoft XP thinks that work is still open

Hi,

I have a pc that wont shutdown becuase it thinks that microsoft word is still open(it isnt, I closed it all in task manager). Just woundering if there are any quick fixes for this. I have tried your standerd things like clearing temp files, reinstalling office, and a few others.

Thanks for your help!
