Hi!

I've got a report that requires different headers for different chapters, all on the one document.

For instance, pages one to 20, I want 'Chapter One' as the header, pages 21 to 40 'Chapter Two', etc. is this possible?

Thanks!

You need to break each chapeter into Sections. From there you will be able to work with each individual Header section by undoing "Same as Previous" and make them custom to the appropriate section.

at the end of each chapter
go to INSERT
Break
Choose appropriate Section break

AFter the document has been sectioned off
go to View
Headers and footers
MAke sure you unclick the Same as Previous button When you do that the words should disappear from header section. (Please note Headers and footers are treated as separate entities but the both rely on the sections and section breaks.)

That's great! Thank you so much, i've been trying to figure it out for hours!

Regards,

VC
