Recently, upon opening a New Word Document, the cursor positions itself in the center of the blank page. I am not able to reposition it at the top. Is this something that has been changed in the Normal Template function? I'm not sure what steps are needed to reset this or what caused it to happen.

Try deleting the Normal.dot file. When you restart Word it will rebuild it.
