Office 2000 Microsoft Word.

I have a document a large amount of data on it.
Suddenly i get strange horizontal intermittent lines on the page.
If i cut and paste to a new document, the lines come with it,i cannot get rid of them., it is an important document and i would appreciate some advive as to how to get rid of them

If i place the mouse on the line i get a small horizontal line with up and down arrows on it, and can only move the whole line up and down about 3 line spaces.,the line shows up as a line of dashes from far left to right when the mouse is held down, hitting delete etc, will not get rid of it.

Probably simple, but i cannot get rid of the lines.

I have worked out it is a paragraph border, and can now set border to none.

Sorry to put such a simple question in the forum.!!!

Could be a page boarder?

Look at Format -> Boarders and Shading, check the Page Boarder tab and ensure there are none present.
