microsoft word 97

when I save a document with a picture inserted and then somebody else opens it up on there pc it is a completely different picture, can anybody tell my why this happens and what the solution is

When you say "another picture" what do you mean? Is the picture you saved still in the document? Are there other pictures in the document?
