Microsoft Word 2K prints black blotches

I have a user that is having problems printing Microsoft Word documents. Whenever he tries to print, he gets black blotches, streaks, or spots over the page. He can print fine from Excel, Powerpoint, etc.. and can even print a test page fine. I don't have any way of getting to the printer and computer, so I am hoping that maybe I can get an idea that I'll be able to walk him through over the phone. Has anybody ever seen this before?

I assume that he's using the same printer for all printouts?

Is he selecting the same driver through Word as in the other applications?

If you're desparate, you could try re-installing Word. (But that's a pretty big hammer for what might be a small problem.)

Yep.... He is actually even able to print on that printer from a different computer with Word and it works fine. He's selecting the same driver, which has been reinstalled a couple of times. Reinstalling word is not a viable option for us, but thanks for the idea anyway...
