MicroSoft VM issue/ Preventing MRE JAVA users

I've had a couple of clients whose machines have been swapped out and the MRE quit functioning. They are missing the MicroSoft VM and I'm told by our tech service dept that this is no longer being supported and therefore is no longer being installed..... I am currently supporting 4.3.6. with no plans to go to version 5 until next summer. My clients are all due to be swapped by the end of the year

Has anyone already fought this issue, or have any suggestions...... I'd appreciate any comments..... Thanks

Microsoft has extended the desupport date for the Java VM until Sept 30, 2004. Check their web site at:

http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java/

We can also work with the Sun VM, which can be downloaded from their site.
