Hi all,

My db has recently started throwing up an error when I try to access the code behind my forms. It states that I have a debug error in the Microsoft Visual C++ debug library. problem is I don't use C++, it's causing an abnormal program termination and gives me the option to press retry to debug, but all this does is close access down.

I've tried copying the contents of the database into a new one and I get the same error, even if I don't take any of the original forms over.

Has anyone experienced this? Have a solution to this?
I really don't want to start all over again as it's taken me a couple of months to get to this point.

Thanks

Vicky

tractorvix,
It's probably not the database if it works correctly in all other aspects.

A couple of things to try:[ul]
[li]On your machine can you open the code pane ([tt]ALT+F11[/tt])in Word or Excel without getting an error?[/li]
[li]Can you navigate to the code in your database using another maching?[/li][/ul]

If either or both are true the error is probably in the Visual Basic Explorer and not the database. If so the only solution I can think of is try to repair your office installation, or uninstall/reinstall.

Hope this helps,
