Microsoft UM with AVAYA

I am in the RFP process for a VM upgrade/replacement and the question about using Microsoft UM came up as a possibility. Has anyone took the route of replacing AVAYA messaging product with this? Any information would be greatly helpful.

We did that a long time ago and did this for customers when I was a consultant many times. UM on Exchange 2007 didn't have MWI built-in, but Exchange 2010 UM does.

Depending on what your Avaya messaging product you are moving from it was usually an easy transition for users.
