Microsoft SQL persistent connection problem

I can not connect to MS SQL Server 2000 via persistent connection. I tried some wrappers like PHPLIB, directly mssql_pconnect, but it still doesn't go. When I establish connection via pconnect, I get id of connection. Than when I create some temporary tables on server and click to some link, that on second page I do the same pconnect and the temporary tables are dropped. How can I do that ?
