I'm the former president of a defunct Access & VBA User Group. I no longer use Access in my daily work, but I continue to receive these types of emails. Thought some of you might find this a good opporunity to provide feedback. If you do, you may want to mention you're a member of the tek-tips forum, to raise our profile with Microsoft. Of course I'm counting on the fact that this forum is visited only by professional who would contribute valuable suggestions, rather than sending rants.

Dear Elizabeth,
Did you know Microsoft Access is 10 years old? As you've been a
supporter of Access, through the user group you manage, you probably
did! As the site manager of the Office Developer Center on MSDN
( I'm planning on host a party for
Access, and I'd like to invite you to participate.
This September, we will be creating a dedicated Access site on MSDN, and
would like to encourage you to send us your content ideas. There is
already a vast amount of technical articles in the Access folders on
MSDN, and we will add even more in September, but you may have requests
for us as well.
This is your chance: tell us what you want to read about! Are there any
topics you'd like us to go deeper in? Would you want more sample code,
or more articles, or more sample databases, or more tips? Email
Talk2Acc@microsoft.com, and we will go over the suggestions you make.
I'd like you to share this invitation to your user group members as well
as other Access User Groups you may know. Gather their feedback, then
send us the results, before August 10, and we will work toward answering
the most asked requests through articles, tips, technical chats and
other means.
I hope you'll find this project exciting, and I look forward to your
feedback.
-Jean Philippe
