Microsoft SharePointPS Search service wont start

Originally SharePoint Portal Server was loaded on one of my Windows 2003 servers along with a custom web app I made for our intranet that was excluded from Sharepoint. We then decided to move sharepoint to our SQL server to run more efficiently so I loaded a new installation of Sharepoint to our SQL server creating a new portal which took a while to make because we used a different structure than on the appserver. The installation on the SQL server has been running great for a while, but about the time I unistalled the installation of Sharepoint portal server and WSS from the original appserver, the Microsoft SharePointPS Search service wont start on the new installation of sharepoint on the SQL server. I dont know if they are tied together in active directory or not. I cant even manually start the Microsoft SharePointPS Search service on the SQL server. I was working great all up until the time I unistalled it off the original server. All services are started except for the Microsoft SharePointPS Search service. MSSearch and Sharepoint admin both start fine. Any ideas wht the Microsoft SharePointPS Search service wont start? Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

Have you in Central Administration under Server configuration Topology that your new server have the role as Search server? Are you getting any errors in the Event viewer log and the other SPS logs?

Yes the the search box is check in the topology and in the virtual server.

Have you been able to sort this one out?
Have you made sure that you are using the same account and that it has enough rights to sharepoint?
