I've installed Proxy Client on my machine after installing Windows 2000.My machine is running in a WinNT 4.0 server based network. After that I received a lot of "Physical Memory Dump" and cold restarts without any warnings. I need the Procy Client because in our Firewall is running Microsoft Proxy Server and I want to use ICQ and FTP software. I need some help how to solve this problem without returning to WIn 98! Thanx for any idea!!!

Misu, not really sure what your exact problem is, I have the identical setup as you explained.  Where I have an NT4.0 SP5 server hosting Windows Proxy Server.  I installed Win2K Beta 3 on my workstation from scratch ( i.e. no previous OS on the HD. ) I then ran the client setup for MS Proxy Client from the share folder found on the root of the Proxy server.  It installed fine, by default the installer specifies the NetBIOS name of the Proxy server.  After I reboot things have been working perfectly for almost 6 months now.  I routinely use ICQ and other winsock apps. Of course Win2K crashes by itself every now and then, but its not because of the client i'm sure... Hope this helps...
