HI

In the resource name field I have Persons name [%15](you can edit if you double click on the person and go into the Task information then go to units which is set units. Is it possible to display those units in another column instead of the same column as resource names? I've tried to add new column for some unit fields and it doesnt display the 15% I entered. Only displays this in the resource names column. Was hoping I could display %15 in another new column with no resource name in same column.

Hope ive explained myself ok.

Thanks

hi,
Hope ive explained myself ok.
Not really.

Tell us WHAT you are trying to do, not HOW you think you ought to 'edit', 'double click', 'add' etc.

Hello,

You can add the assignment units field to the Task Usage or Resource Usage view to see assignment unit for each assignment. However, the field will be empty in the Gantt chart view.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I've added assignment units as a new field as yyou suggested but for some reason it shows up blank even though next to the resource name it shows Matt[15%] for example.

If you were to double click on the task in resource view it brings up task information view and it shows the 15% there. Its an odd one but not in the resource name.

What I am trying to do is show the 15% in a different column but its displayed in the resource name column instead for some reason.

To clarify this is what I get -

Resource Name
Matt [15#]

This is what I want

Resource Name Unit field of some description
Matt 15%

Hi Matt,

Re-read my note carefully. I said you can add the field to the Task Usage or Resource usage view -- but that it will be blank in the Gantt chart view.

When you look at the Resource usage view -- the tasks listed underneath are not tasks, they are assignments.

So, what you want in the Gantt view is not available -- it must either be the Task Usage or Resource Usage view.
