I use microsoft project 98 and face the following problem:
I have a project that I know will require 250 hours of work (I have defibned this task as a fixed work task). I allocate to this project several resources (work).
resource A 20%
Resource B 15%
Resource C 5%
Resource D 15%
When i check the resource allocation, the software shows that resource A is employeed for the full duration of the project in 20% capacity. Resource B and C are used in 15% and 5% respectively only in the first day of the project and through out the complete duration of the project. Resource D is used with 15% for the full duration of the project.
Also, adding resource does not reduce the duration of the project.
1. Is such a task defined as a Fixed Work?
2. What should I do in order to have all the resources distributed through out the complete duration of the project?
