I have several projects that I need to link together with a resource pool. All resources combine as they should except for one resource has two entries. Apparently Project thinks these are separate resources and I cannot figure out why. The names are the same because it is in fact the same resource. Does anyone have any ideas to fix this problem?

Let's start with the same things I asked "editoremma" to do:

In your master project:
View > Gantt
Insert the Project column, expand it to full width,
Select all the tasks, click on the Show button and click on "all tasks"
AutoFilter on the 2 resource names so we can see all tasks for those 2 resources.

View > Resource Usage
Insert the Project column, expand it to full width,
Go to the 2 resources and expand them so we can see all tasks for those 2 resources

Then post images of what you see. Thanks.

(Sorry to take so long to get to your issue, being rather busy recently.)

I would recommend first checking to make sure the two names are spelled EXACTLY the same (including trailing spaces). Maybe even copy the name from one file and paste it over the name in the resource sheet in second file.
