Microsoft Outlook

I installed Office 2000 on a PC on a LAN that runs Exchange server. I set up the outlook to go through Internet though.
(Which was wrong). How can I change the outlook setting to go through to Exchange without rebuilding the machine????
I have tried unintstalling Office2000 and reinstalling it but the same settings are there when I restart Outlook.
