Microsoft Outlook 2002 Problem

I have a computer running Microsoft Outlook 2002. It will automatically send mail to the mail server when it is created but it wont check for mail. The only way to receive mail is to go to tools, send receive, select the user name and then it will receive mail. I'm used to dealing with Outlook 2000 where you can set send receive times under Tools, Options, Internet e-mail. Can someone tell me how to get 2002 to send/receive mail every 3 minutes
