I am in the process of rebuilding my Pc after a disk crash and replacement. I purchased MSOffice97 Professional Edition a couple of years ago and went to install it and it asked for the CD KEY, an l1 character key. I cant find the original case/box it came in and dont know what to do in order to install the CD. Does anyone know how I can find out what the Cd key is. I am very frustrated at this point so any help is appreciated....thanks.

you could contact either the retailer that sold it to your, or microsoft themselves , but we cannot just give you a CD key , otherwise we would be indulging in an illegal activity(even if are the owner of the CD, others could use the CDkey, etc).

oh btw, check your setup.ini(on the CD) and look down towards the end if it, sometimes it's stored there(if old copy).
