Hi Folks.

I wish to take MS Office 2000 courses and exams in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. If I take the official MS courses will I receive a certificate at the completion of each exam, or only when I complete all 4 exams, thus gaining me a Master Credition as a Microsoft Office Specialist?

I'm not sure about the Office path, but most of MS certifications give you an MCP after one test. Then when you get all of the other tests done you get another certification. If you go to microsoft.com/learning it will list all of the available tests and certs that you can get. When I did my MCSE 4.0, I took 1 test to get MCP, then 2 tests later I got MCP + Internet, then after finishing all of the tests got my MCSE. Going that route gave me 3 seperate certifications (and a nifty lapel pin for each one) :)

Hello Chrismenzies,
If I remember correctly you do get a certificate for each MOUS (now MOS) exam you successfully pass.

I've only hung up the Office 2000 Master and Master Instructor Office 2000 certificates on my wall.

Good luck with the exams.

Regards,
Michael

Thanks guys.

In the last 2 days I have purchased the MS Step-by-Step books for Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, so I have some reading to do. I know most of it anyway, just little bits here and there like Mail Merging and Pivot Tables.

Thanks again. I shall be clearing my wall for a space then!! :)
