Microsoft Office 2000 1

I have installed office 2000 into my system. No matter when I open the program I get the following message:
Run-time error '5'
Invalid procedure call or
argument
At the top of this message it says Microsoft Visual Basic. My question is, how do I prevent this message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but nothing changes.

Does this only happen when you open Word, or does it happen with any other MSOffice app? If it's only Word, it could be a virus that enables macros.

Sahm,
I agree w/RMG. I have discovered that whenever the VB Editor opens w/an error message whenever a Word document is opened or even closed, the most likely reason is a macro virus. Update your virus scanner and definitely check for viruses. [sig][/sig]
