Hi All,

I have downloaded the Word 2007 Microsoft Math(s) Add-in from to install it on my Vista Business system.

After running the installer I opened Word to discover there was no icon on the ribbon. I also restarted the computer but nope that too failed to produce the icon. To cut a rather boring story short I can't get Windows Math(s) add-in to work as advertised despite meeting all the requirements. Is there anyone out there who can enlighten me to what I am doing wrong.

Thanks

Togora

Have you also got Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0?

Cheers, Glenn.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for the quick response. I have the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework and checked more than once that I meet all the criteria for this add-in, which I do.

The add-in is listed in the install/remove list also. I have checked to see if it is listed in the Word Options>Add-ins list and it is not. And, I have checked to see if it is actually installed in a folder on my drive again it is.

According to the download page for the MS Math Add-In, it should be available from the Equation Ribbon in Word.

When in Word, click the Insert Tab.
Now click on Equation (not the drop down arrow, but the actual Equation symbol there)
You should be given the Equation Ribbon, look to see if Microsoft Math is now listed there.

Hope this works for you!

Hi Doug,

I carried out your suggestion but to no avail. If Word is unable to "see" Math add-in and is not listed either as a disabled add-in or an active add-in. If I understand it correctly there should be an add-in button added to the ribbon next to the equation button. I wrote an equation and right clicked on it to see if there were additional option for solving it but they were not listed.

Additional information regarding this add-in is very limited and I cannot find a home page for the development team.

Thanks for your help.
