How i can use the SetFocus event in CMSMask control?

if SetFocus, it means it is a function which you will not use but will be used by the control. So you should override it if you want some specific actions on SetFocus.

first of all, what kind of control is it? Is it ActiveX or no?

yes. it is ActiveX (MSMASK32.ocx)

in this case you should use different type of Advise/SetAdvise/Unadvise methods provided by IOleObject/IAdviseSink/IConnectionPioint
