I have a Query. In the query i have a criteria which refers to a object on my form for it's value. If i run this query it works and displays the required results. I then have a Crosstab query that runs the first query and displays the answers on a report. If i try to run the crosstab query i get Microsoft jet database engine does not recognise [Forms]![form name]![object] name or expression. But as i said the first query will display the data. If i change the criteria in the first query to show the data required then both queries work.HELP

[yoda]The
Code:
Forms
collection contains the open forms. So I guess the referenced form is closed when you open the report.

The query is only a way the calculate, group or view data. The result is not stored, only the definition. So if the crosstab query uses another query, that one is recalculated as well. Mind you, the SQL engine does some clever things in optimizing, but the data is still recalculated when called for.

Best regards
