I am hoping that someone can give me some direction on this one. There is a database that is residing on the hard drive C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Databases\database_name that is giving me the following message: "The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open file U:\database_name\database_table.mdb. It is already opened exclusively by another user or you need permissions to view its data

Oh, I forgot to mention, I can view it logged on at my desk as that user, but not at her's. I have already checked for a locking file.

Has this person permissions on the folder? Is it possible that you have locked the database, that is, have you given yourself suitable permissions?

I have fixed this problem. Sorry, I haven't had time to update progress been really hectic lately. What was happening is I have is this database is a group object in NetWare and the person's name was taken out for some reason or another. Thanks for your response.
