Hi all,

How would I go about downloading Java Virtual Machine without having to install XP Service Pack 1? Would any one happen to have it as a seperate installable download?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Just curious, but why don't you want to install SP1??

In his defense, there are horror stories all over the internet about SP1 nightmares that would deter anyone from installing that corporate sanctioned virus! I wish I had read them before I tried it! Not to offend anyone in this forum, just giving another view.

I have to agree with the sentiments expressed here. After all the horror stories I've seen re SP1 I'm in no hurry to install it. Maybe SP2!

Endless story.

What are you going to do if SP2 get the same or worse critics?

Or if SP2 requires you to install SP1 first?

Anyway, I installed it on dozens of PC's, never any problem, but I must add, I do not tweak or mess up the systems, nor do I get any demo, share or such on there.
