Hello to all awesome tek-tips members!
I use Microsoft IExpress tool to create a self-extracting .exe file.
Sadly I can't find a way to extract files to the folders I added them from.
It seems to me that IExpress cannot do what WinZip can, enabling an option to use the source path also as the target path.
Did I miss something or is there a way to modify the corresponding SED file?

Hello.
Thanks for your reply.

Maybe you misunderstood me.
Add file1 from folder1 and file2 from folder2 to IEXPRESS, start the .exe file then you are prompted to enter the destination folder for extracting files to. Choose rootfolder as the destination folder. The result is that both files are extracted to rootfolder but not into rootfolder\folder1 and rootfolder\folder2. That means the folder information is lost.

WinZip creates the above mentioned folder structure but iexpress does not.

Thanks.
