I can't seem to get IE to start up? I keep getting the message as above.
AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
I know they are "sorry for the inconvenience", now how the heck do I FIX it???
Win98SE system.
Tried an in-place reload (ren win.com and run setup from cab directory).
Any other suggestions besides a wipe-and-reload?

See if the IE repair tool helps. It's in System Information/Tools.

microdoc,
uninstall IE 6. back to 5.5
Re-install 5.5
Then go to windows update and do critical updates that will re-install IE 6.0 w/sp1
