Hello

I have been testing the Commvault Microsoft Hyper V agent backing up some test Virtual Servers. I am in the planning stages for backing up a server that has multiple VM's and wonder how to do incrementals weekly with fulls on weekends. Will my storage requirements for the incrementals durning the week be the same as the fulls of the .vhd files or is there something I'm missing. If someone could answer this or point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

With v8 you can run incremental jobs for all levels with the Universal Virtual Server Agent

From some info I got from CV for the disk level...
" A unique feature in the CommVault solution is to the ability to perform Incremental delta block image level backups. During the disk level backup process we are able to peek into the file system inside the image file to determine the windows files that have changed. The backup operation then only copies image extents associated with these files. This leads to dramatically faster backups, less data transfer over the network and less storage utilization. As with other incremental backup, the disk level incremental backup represents a full recoverable recovery point even though only a fraction of the total data has been moved."
