Hi,
I'm getting the dreaded "Microsoft Exchange System Attendant failed to read the membership of group 'cn=Exchange Domain Servers,cn=Users,dc=etc'" error. My Exchange Domain Servers group is under the Users OU (and always has been), the computer account is definitely in the group, AD Sites and Services is set up correctly, with a local GC in each site, and general service availability is totally unaffected.
Obviously for reasons of sanity, I'd like this to go away. I'm also concerned that it may be symptomatic of some underlying cause. The specific error code is 800705b4, which I understand relates to a timeout when reading from a GC, but as there is a GC on the local LAN which is not being stressed in any way, this does not make sense.
I've done the usual rooting around through eventid.net and Google, but have turned up nothing to clarify this. Both the Exchange Box and the GC are 2003, and the Exchange version is also 2003.
Any help or pointers for further research would be most welcome.
