- Installed MS Office XP
- Installed Windows Messaging Service for XP (latest from Novell site)
- Installed GroupWise 5.5 client on XP (laptop) machine.

On start up Groupwise is very slow to load and eventually displays message: "Mircosoft Exchange server is unavailable" - Retry or Work Offline - click Work Offline, then Groupwise opens mailbox and runs OK.

Attempted fixes:
- Have edited mail profiles to make sure there are no Exchange or Outlook references
- Have uninstalled Outlook

Any ideas on how to get rid of the Exchange search/message?

Check your mail system setting on the workstation, you have services for Exschange installed. For GroupWise you needed to install the Windows messaging service. Go into control panel, and go into mail, and remove the Exchange add in. Brent Schmidt CNE,Network + [atom]
