Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Merlin Magix

Has anyone been able to integrate their Merlin Magix with the Unified Messaging capabilities of Microsoft Exchange 2007?

Unified Messaging only officially supports Exchange 2000. I know people have had problems getting it to run with Exchange 2003 - never mind Exchange 2007.

Well Microsoft supposedly officially supports it in 2007 with faxing and voicemail. I'm just not sure how it would connect to the Merlin.

It connects to the Merlin Messaging module via the static LAN IP address for the messaging unit.

I had it running on exchange2003 and about 4 months ago some win updates came out and it has never worked since. The service starts and crashes.

Is there any documentation on this? I didn't know it would work with Exchange 2003. Is there any additional software needed for that?

Avaya does not support it on 2003. At least that is what they told me when i called them.

I guess I'll just have to play with it once I get Exchange 2007 running. I'd really like to get this up and running for our staff as it will help greatly. I just don't know if our outdated Magix will handle it.

It worked with Exchange 2003 - until they did an automatic update - in either May or June of 2006 - that's when the problems occurred.

The software - on the Merlin Messaging side - is Unified Messaging. You can download it from Avaya.com under all documents for your Messaging release.
