How about posting the full text of the error message you're getting?

Yes, please do post the full error message (if there is more to it).. and also make sure you have Windows and Office both up to date, as there could be some conflict/problem that was resolved with updates. For windows, go to Start menu - > Programs, and windows Update should be listed at the top.

For office, open any office app, go to Help, then Office online, and you'll see the option for getting updates there. For office updates, just make sure you have your cd(s) handy to insert when needed, or just go ahead and insert it or one of them if you have more than one.
