Hi all, I have an issue with Microsoft DNS and Active Directory. I have 3 Server 2003 R2 servers. One of them is running DNS and DHCP and is the PDC (Operations master) This is an inherited network that I have tried to clean up. I have removed DNS completely (including removing folders in system32) and re-installed. I have setup an Active Directory integrated Zone. All seems ok.

I am getting "NETLOGON" 5781 errors stating "Dynamic registration or deletion of one or more DNS records associated with DNS domain 'pdcntncmf1.com.' failed"

I do not have that Zone in DNS or any where in Active Directory. I can see that the file netlogon.dns (in sytem32\config) has multiple instances of the rouge domain pdcntncmf1.com) I delete these entries and do a

ipconfig /registerdns
net stop netlogon
net start netlogon

And they come back. I have used adsiedit to look for this domain and its not listed anywhere. Again its not a zone in my DNS. What I need to know is where does the Net Logon service pull these names when it creates the netlogon.dns? I have searched Google and found nothing (I have tried all suggestions with no success.
Cheers
Phil
