Hello,

Everytime my parents browser runs into a script problem, Microsoft Development Environment 6.0 Opens up, then crashes the program (usually IE). I am sure one of us kids put it on in the last ten years, but no one can remember (or own up to) putting it on. Nor can anyone remember how to get rid of it.

Can anyone tell me how? Any tips at all?

Thanks for ANY thoughts---

Try this: in IE, click on Tools, Internet Options, Advanced. Look for "Disable Script Debugging" and see if that will fix your problem.

Well, not to sound stupid, but is InterDev installed on the machine? If so, can you uninstall?

Lol--

if it was, it isn't any longer. I've looked at the list in control panel and nothing jumps out.

It's as if the program were uninstalled and this bit is left- quite odd, really.

Which version of IE are they using? Maybe it's time to switch browsers? Firefox? :)

Or, since this pc appears to be about 10 years old (from your original post), maybe it's time for a new computer? [lol]

Seriously, I'll do some more looking into it and let you know if I come across anything... Now I'm intrigued (and I don't think this is necessarily an InterDev problem, per se)...
