I've got a problem with one of our users here - he needs to be able to create new "Microsoft Data Link's" on his desktop (for example), however - when he right-mouse-clicks on his desktop > selects "New", there isn't an option for it.
I'm not really familiar with this so ANY help would be appreciated, the option is available on practically ALL other machines................

Could it be that the other users have newer versions of MDAC installed? Robert Bradley

or you can run REGEDIT and add the following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.UDL\ShellNew

and add a new string value named NULLFILE with a value of empty string. Jon Hawkins
