I have a report that has stopped working since the server was rebuilt. The .rpt runs smoothly, but the compiled .exe just hangs after entering the password. I have registered the DLL that it requires, used the Report Distribution Expert (RDE), even built the report again from scratch but still no joy.
The only thing that may help is the message displayed when using the RDE: "One or more reports require Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) but MDAC will not be included with this compiled report. For information on installing MDAC on the target machine before running compiled reports, please refer the the readme.rtf file located in the Setup directory."
I've upgraded my installation of MDAC (the MDAC component checker says I'm using "2.5 SP2 (2.52.6019.2)"
. I'm using CR 8 on a Win98 box and using a SQL 7 db across the Novell network.
