Hi,

I am trying to install Microsoft CRM 3.0 Server. Someone has already installed Microsoft SQL Server 2005 on the laptop. Now when I was installing CRM Server 3.0 on the machine using a standard installation I am getting this message:

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen(Connect()).}SQL Server does not exist or access denied

I've been reading around and found that their are some issues with CRM 3.0 Server being installed on SBS. Not sure if this is the issue as I followed their workaround article and nothing happened. From the error it seems more of a permissions error.

Can someone help me.

Are you posting in the right forum? You mention installing SQL server on "THE LAPTOP" but this is an SBS Server forum. Are you installing the product on the SBS server? If so are you actually running SBS on a laptop?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
