Hi, I am running W2K Pro(Fat 32) with all Updates and am trying to create a new Microsoft Windows backup. I have never had a problem before, but this time I am getting this message:-

"The fixed Media is full. You cannot backup all of the specifed data to this disk device. The backup operation will stop".

I have over 21 Gig of free space on my second H/D(Fat 32) to which I am backing up to, yet the backup fails after 4 Gig of my master (8.3 Gig used space).

Anyone got any ideas what could be the problem or am I just missing something?

Merry xmas to all,
Dave.

The Windows backup creates a single file, right?

FAT32 file systems have a 4 gig limit for single files.

Can you create an NTFS partition and backup to that?
