I am going to post this over in the VB forum just in case, but I have a situation where there are approximately 100 laptops/desktops. Previously, it was the responsibility of the users to backup their own data to the servers (which area all backed using Veritas)

However, that is too difficult for some people. They want to us to come up with .bat file that our users can click on that will back up all there docs to there User's Dir, which will then get captured in the nightly backups.

We have figured out the batch that will run this, selecting the the standard folders and such... but the big question is, how can we set the exclusion to skip .avi, .mp*, .ost and .pst files? Can't figure out how to make those options stick without having to touch everyone's PCs. Any ideas?

thanks, Ted
