I have downloaded MS Access Run Time. But, I can't find it. Unlike other programs the setup does not show you where it will be stored. I can see it under Programs and Features but I cannot find where it is stored.

Does anyone know if it is stored as an executable or ??? Or, where the default storage location is...or file name.

I have searched for Access Run Time (various ways)....but it does not return anything useful.

Hi Puforee,

It has been a while since I worked with the runtime, but in older versions, there is nothing to see.

If you have full Access, then you would not want the runtime installed on your PC.

The purpose of the runtime, is to run and install the software (Access) on a PC that does not have full MS Access installed.

Then, you will be able to run the MS Access mdb or mde on that PC, but you will not be able to modify the code or table structures.

Hope This Helps,
Hap...

Hap007 Thanks for the quick reply but....."The rest of the story" as Paul Harvey use to say...

I am trying to use "Package Solution" from Access 2007. It is asking if I want to include Access Run Time....I do. But it does not automatically show and when I click the browse button I do not know where to find it.

Hi,

It has been a while since I setup the runtime and it was an earlier version than 2007.

Perhaps it is already including the required files.
How about trying to install Your 'package solution' on another PC that does not have MS Access and see if it works.

Whenever I create an install process, I always test on a 'pure/clean' PC to see if it actual works.

Otherwise, I do not think I can help you. Sorry.
