Hello

I hope someone can give me direction. Microsoft Access causes my computer to crash, if it has been opened for a couple minutes, regardless of the DB size (CPU Usage maxes out and never drops unless I close Access). I have tried everything I know and have exhausted all knowledge in my company's desktop support.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions on how I could resolve.

Thank you for any help!

It would be really helpful to know something about your system:

- OS/version
- Access version
- type of used access database (or is it with any db?)
- since when does this happen and what changes where made to your system before this behaviour started

???

Sorry, I should have included all that.

Win2000 is what I am operating on.
My Access version is 97.
Any access database causes the problem.

for instance...I just created a blank db. If I just I do nothing, there is no problem. The moment I try anything in the db, my usage goes to 100% and never drops until I close access. Eventually my computer will just shut off if I do not.

This has happened since I received my new laptop. Am trying to avoid haveing to change out laptops or anything of the sort. Was hoping it was a common dll problem, or something like that.

Thanks

I still have the problem. Have you found a solution?
