Hi All. I am using crystal reports 8.5 on a windows 2000 terminal server enviroment and trying to connect to .dbf database files. When I try to connect I get asked for a "microsoft access password". The server I am using has only 2 programs installed on it. Crystal Reports 8.5 and Mayrise (my database that uses .dbf tables). The server has never ever had any other programs on it. Does anybody have any ideas why I am getting asked for this password (or what it may be!!!!) thanks.

You neglected to mention the most critical aspect, which is HOW you are connecting.

Set up an ODBC connection using the appropriate connectivity (DBFs span many products and versions, they are NOT generic).

Thanks for the reply...i am trying to connect using the database files connection within crystal. I can connect using ODBC but other people using the same products can connect directly and have never heard of this issue re; the microsoft access password.

I have just found out that my database uses Foxpro tables.
Thanks!
