Can I create a matrix type report within Access with dynamic columns and have the ability to sort either the columns or rows as needed. If not can I use a third party software and run it within Access?

Do you have a need that requires this? Can you explain what would need this or where you data might come from or how you want to display it?

You can print about anything you want in a report. If we had more information, we could probably be of more specific assistance.

AN approach to having "dynamic data is to use a crosstab query as the recordsource. This is fraught with perils of what column *names) will be, which can be partially addressed through having the column names in a seperate recordset jouined to the XTab source. Reports cannot be dynamically sorted, however they can be "pre-sorted" using a variety of techniques.

Your member profile leaves no real indication of wheather you have hte background or experience to tackle these subjects, however the requests itself suggest that such construction is, perhaps, quite a challenge.

I would suggfest that you visit and patronize the local bookstore with a view to acquiring one or more test on Ms. A. before proceeding.
