Recently when attempting to change a Report to a MS Excel File Format , I get the following error:-

"Access cannot complete this operation. The Visual Basic code you entered contains a syntax error or the Output procedure is not available....."

As far as I'm aware , I was not attempting to enter any VB code but merely doing what I've done countless times after generating an Access Report , i.e. using the analyze ut with microsoft excel button which has previously changed the Report to an Excel document format which I can then format and eventually print out.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like bad data in the Access report, or at least data that Excel can't use. Maybe a number with a space, or text trying to fit into a numeric cell?

"Don't be irreplaceable. If you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted."

If I go to another computer then it works fine. So must just be something with my pc

Code:
Output procedure is not available....."

Could it be the Access installation wasn't installed as a full installation (missing some tools - could have been left unchecked at install time)?

Also goes without saying that it's not a runtime vs. full version issue?...

Could be. Maybe if I re-install Access and make sure full version is installed that will fix the problem. Thanks

Well shoot I seem to still be having the same problem. I've done the following so far:

1) Repair
2) Uninstall/Reinstall Access
3) Went to view code/tools/references and checked to see if any were missing. I've compared the references checked with a pc that works. Looks to be the same.

I can't figure out why the report would run fine on the other ten pcs and not one this one.

Any other ideas?

I should also mention it is not just this report that won't export. Same message for all reports while trying to export to Excel using Analyze with Excel option

Repair the Excel installtion ?

Hope This Helps, PH.
