Hi everyone, I got this error today when I booted up the server

lsass.exe System Error

"Security Accounts Manager initialization failed because of the following error : system cannot find the file specified. Error Status : 0xc0000034. Please click OK to shutdown and reboot into Safe Mode. Check the even log for more detailed information."

Got the same message booting into Safe Mode or Normal. When I click OK, the computer reboots and I can't get any further. Running Windows 2003 Server. Any suggestions would be appreicated.

Thanks.

A lot of times lsass.exe reboots are caused by viruses/malware. Disconnect your machine from the network and try running a virus scan first. If you're still being stopped you may need to boot up using a recovery CD and running something like McAfee's stinger tool from a command prompt
