Can anybody help with a real anoying problem that I am having with microsoft word.

When I open up a document I get the normal blinking positional cursor within the document, but then the mouse cursor (I-beam) flashes 2-3 times every second continuously. It seems to be flashing between the hourglass cursor & the normal vertical I-beam cursor.

It does this on some pc's but not all.

Any ideas,

Thanks,

Chris

Not helpful I know, but is your mouse from a macintosh? (flashing) haha,

Seriously though, how long does this go on for, it sounds like there is a process running in the backgound and is stuck in some sort of processing loop.

In the VBEditor, can you find a procedure called sub Document_Open() within the normal.dot object?

cheers

Matthew
