Micros WS5 Setup as KDS

Have a dead touch panel on kds station.

Have couple extra ws5 terminals and would like to put in place and install as the KDS.

KDS does not showup in the device list when CAL loads.

Some direction much appreciated. Thanks

Yes you can use a WS5 as KDS

You need the following thing changed ( i assume you had a DisplayController for the KDS with a external TouchScreen)

- Network Node change Workstation Type to Workstation4 for CE Tills (DC is for Display Controller and you do not see anything in the CAL) Workstation is for every WIN32 OS like Winxp,win7,win10.
- RELOAD DB in the Control Panel
- Restart Micros CAL Service in the Windows Services
- Now you will see the KDS in the Reconfigure CAL
